 Tadworth Primary School

Parent Teacher Association

Who are the Tadworth Primary Parent Teacher Association?

Tadworth Primary School PTA is a group of teachers, parents and friends of the school who donate some of their free time to help raise funds for our children. All parents of children at the school are automatically members of the PTA and are welcome to join the committee. Throughout the school year we organise a variety of fund raising and social activities,including the Summer Fair, the Christmas Fair, Quizzes, and Discos . These activities have a dual purpose: to raise funds and to bring parents, children and staff together in a social atmosphere. The full Committee get together once a month to organise all the different events.

The PTA was formally launched in November 2007 by our then head teacher, Judith Constable. Our aim is to move away from the traditional Parent Teacher organisation to a much larger association which includes people from the wider school community (i.e. grandparents, friends, ex-parents). It’s our hope that this wealth of diversity, age and experience will help make FrOTh a truly exceptional PTA and raise even more money to the benefit of our children!

How can YOU get involved??

When it comes to organising and running events, all help - however much or little - is always most welcome. You can either come to one of the monthly meetings at the school, email us at team@friendsoftadworthprimary.co.uk, or contact any PTA member and let them know that you would like know more.

It takes a lot of effort and time to organise the various events through the school year, but only because this generally falls to a few key members. Remember, its all of our children who benefit from the events, and you don’t have to give up lots of time to make a difference. Even a few minutes here and there will make a difference. And the more volunteers we have, the less time we will each need to give.

Have you got a child at Tadworth Primary School? Or are you a teacher? Or perhaps a member of the local community with something to offer. We are always looking for new members who will be able to bring fresh and exciting ideas and talents to our group.  If so, you can be part of our PTA. For others who are interested in joining us, such as grandparents or ex-parents, please speak to Mr Kelly, head teacher, or anyone in our PTA.

Have YOU got any photos from past events ?

Many people don't get to see how much fun everybody has at our organised events. If you have any photos which really bring out the spirit and fun of any of our events, why not send a copy in to us to include in our Events page? You can email them to us by clicking on the link below. Alternatively, if you want to send in a hard copy, you can either hand them in at the school in an envelope addressed to the PTA, or you can post them to us at the address on the "Contact Us" page.
